The Brighton is modeled after the US Army M51 fishtail parka, popular with the Mod movement in 1960's Britain. Modernized for riding, it has a tailored, slimmer profile and is built for foul weather.
It has a polyester shell with breathable-waterproof backing and is seam taped throughout. The fabric has a textured face, which mimics olive drab nicely. We’ve added rubber zippers, Velcro cuffs and a two-way adjustable hood to keep the rain and bluster out and pit zips and a shelf vent across the yoke to get rid of heat and moisture. Other features include a sizable quail pocket, felted hand pockets for comfort and reflective piping the length of the back. We love this coat because it can easily dress up with big boy shoes and button down at the office, or go simple with a t-shirt when on the run.
